The Crystal Lodge
The Crystal Lodge
A 158-room lodge in the heart of Whistler Village, steps from the lifts of Whistler Blackcomb Resort and the Mountain Bike Park.
In the heart of Whistler Village, British Columbia, the Crystal Lodge has been operating for over thirty years and features 158 rooms spread across two wings. Its location, steps from the mechanical lifts of Whistler Blackcomb Resort, makes it an ideal base for skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer, with no need for a vehicle on-site.
Why stay here
The Crystal Lodge's main appeal lies in its immediate proximity to Whistler Blackcomb Resort: you can ski straight from the lodge in season, and reach the Whistler Mountain Bike Park in less than 10 minutes on foot when it opens for summer. The address, 4154 Village Green, places the property in the pedestrian zone of the village, within reach of restaurants, shops, and cultural venues such as the Whistler Museum, Medal Plaza, and the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre.
The lodge also serves as a convenient base for exploring the Sea-to-Sky Highway and southern British Columbia, without major logistical constraints.
Atmosphere
The architecture blends stone, light wood, and expansive windows in an embraced mountain lodge style. The common areas, organized around fireplaces and open lounges, remain busy in the evenings with a mix of skiers, mountain bikers, and travelers heading into the Canadian Rockies. The heated outdoor pool, open year-round, is one of the lodge's visual landmarks: it remains accessible even when temperatures drop below freezing.
The rooms
The 158 rooms range from standard studios to suites with sitting areas. All feature complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen television, refrigerator, kettle and tea service, work desk, and individual air conditioning. The furnishings follow alpine codes: light wood, neutral tones, natural light.
Depending on the category, rooms may include a private balcony, stone fireplace, or mountain views. On the bedding front, the property emphasizes comfort: hypoallergenic linens, cushioned mattresses, robes, and premium toiletries. Bathrooms vary by category, offering deep soaking tubs or walk-in showers.

Whistler experiences two distinct high seasons. From December to April, Whistler Blackcomb Resort operates at full capacity: reliable snowfall, resort atmosphere, premium rates, and reservations to book several months in advance. From June to September, the village shifts to summer mode with the Mountain Bike Park opening, hiking, and lake activities.
Shoulder seasons (May, October-November) offer more flexible rates but some activities are closed. For a stay combining skiing and spa without peak crowds, aim for January or late March.
